We are looking for a programmer to come on board and help us with development of our debut game The Quiet Things. Silver Script Games is a small startup company based near Guildford but we operate remotely so you can work from anywhere with an internet connection, however you should be based in the UK. You will be responsible for building the core gameplay and ensuring the game is optimised and running smoothly on all platforms. This is a freelance position and will likely start with part time hours and increase as we ramp up production.

 

Required:

-Experience working with source control (such as Github)

-C++ Programming skills

-A good knowledge of Unreal 5 and the blueprint system

-Ability to work well remotely as part of a small team

-Shipped title/s to PC and Console

-Knowledge of SDK and technical requirements of Sony PlayStation 5, Microsoft Xbox Series X/S and Windows.

 

Desired:

-A love of games and the industry

-Willingness to get stuck in where needed

-Experience working on walking simulator/puzzle games

 

Bonus points:

-You want to make the world a better place through video games

-Raising awareness about mental health is important to you

-A love of similar games (Gone Home, What Remains of Edith Finch, Life is Strange)
