Job Type

About the Role

We are looking for a 2D Artist to join our team on a freelance basis to help out on our current game in development, “The Quiet Things”. You can work remotely, as we all do but you must be based in the UK (this is due to our funding, so sadly is non-negotiable). You will work closely with the team to create 2D assets for the game, playing an important role in bringing the game to life.
You will mainly be working on assets such as diary pages, computer screens, mobile phone screens and some menu/UI design. We are inspired by games like Life is Strange and Gone Home, so these are a good point of reference. We are looking for you to be able to start work in December but we are flexible about times.

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in art or a related field, or be able to demonstrate relevant skills (either through work, experience, a portfolio etc)

  • A portfolio of work in a similar style

  • Proficient with Adobe Photoshop

  • A good communicator and work well with people (primarily over Discord).

  • Able to work remotely

  • Experience with Unreal Engine 5

  • Experience with 2D asset creation for video games

  • A genuine interest/understanding of the topics in our game

About the Company

Created with the goal of creating conversations around some of the more taboo aspects of mental health, through the medium of games. We are now working on our debut game “The Quiet Things”, an auto-biographical narrative game, based on real diary entries, kept as a teenager.
